So, to start of and although no one will probably read this I should probably introduce myself a little bit and what I'm going to be writing on my blog. My name is, you guessed it, Emily. I am a junior in High School. I grew up in a way that not many people have and I have experienced many things that most people wont get to. I grew up in the military, and have lived all over the place. Not many people have experienced life in a military family and no one would understand what it is like. Unless you too were raised in a military family or are in the military or have been in. I've never lived anywhere longer than 3 1/2 years and a lot of people are always like "You must hate moving around all the time!" But then I think, the people who say this have never been outside of the state, or even outside of the town that I live in. I like going to different places and learning new things. Living in Italy is not a place a lot of people can say they've lived. But, I can. Being able to travel to places like Germany, Austria, Poland etc... not a lot of people can say they've been there. I'll be doing a lot of posts on what it was like growing up in the military and all of the different places that I've been, you can't really write about it in one post.
I don't really have any fun hobbies, I like to knit and crochet, old lady hobbies, I know. I love to read, that's something that I've always loved to do. I wouldn't consider myself very artistic but, when I set myself to do something, I would say that I can be pretty artsy. I like to snowboard, but I don't go all that much in the winter. I know how to ski as-well but I stopped skiing to learn how to snowboard. Of course, I love to travel! If that could be considered a hobby?! I like to write, I've always wanted to write a book but when I try to sit down and write something I get past the first page and then stop. I don't know how people have that much patience! I have a lot of patience, but not enough to write a book. I love to act it's something that I've always wanted to do.
I've always been someone who never stays doing one thing. I did ballet when I was younger and quit, which I regret. I did tap for 2 years, ish, then I quit. I did track 8th & 9th grade and stopped doing it. I want this blog to be something that I won't stop and that I will continue doing.
Now, for what I will be writing on this blog. As my domain says, it will be my thoughts on things, me talking about being in the military, talking about books, craft ideas and just things that I find interesting. I think now a days people's voices aren't heard as much as they should and even though this one little blog in millions, I still want to make my voice heard. I might have different views then some people, I might have a different style, but I have a voice and I have ideas and things that I think people will find interesting.
